Penetration Testing (pen test) is an authorized attack performed on a computer network to evaluate its security. Pen testers use the same tools, techniques, and processes as Cyber Pirates to find weaknesses in a system. Penetration tests usually simulates a variety of attacks that could threaten a yacht. They can examine whether a system is resilient enough to withstand attacks from authenticated and unauthenticated hackers, as well as a range of system roles.
